    Hi guys,

I installed W3 Total Cache and EWWW image optimized to make our site fast and have read a number of threads on this Forum, and have a couple of things I don’t understand. I have enabled Page, Minify, Database, Object and Browser caching.

    1. GT Metrix went from 80%B/78%C before to 93%A/82%B. So I guess I would like to improve YSlow.

    2. Pingdom got a lot worse. It doesn’t seem to like our Mimify. It went from 61/100 and beats 70% before to 75/100, but slower than 89% tested. The /cache/mimify files load very slowly.

    3. I get an error message In order for database caching to work with WooCommerce you must add _wc_session_ to the “Ignored Query Strings” option in W3 Total Cache settings here. But the query string is already there.

    4. It doesn’t allow me to add the SEO Extension.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated. On the upside, we installed Updraft and are doing backup to Dropbox, and it did the backup the first time. Though I have not tried restore.

    Thanks again!

I just tested on iphone6 using 8.1.3 OS.
Both chrome and safari no issue. Have you tried clearing the cache on your phone.

Yes both aren’t add to cart should be, that I’ll switch to the right version in the next update.

    thanks.

As for main I leave it un-minifed because it works better when you use a plugin like w3 total cache and minify all your scripts together (which I recommend).

I use my hoster’s varnish cache (gandi.net hoster, but dreamhost, wpengine and pathogen have the same setup with varnish) and simply use https://wordpress.org/plugins/varnish-http-purge/

I did use w3tc, but it goes too deep into the whole system and does all kinds of things. So I do not use it anymore.

I do not understand why having an already minified js file should be a problem. If w3tc tries to minify it again, it will not do any harm (or it is a bug in w3tc). Yours are the only unminified js files I have in my whole setup (using a few other plugins too, all come with minified css and js).

Anyway, it is up to you – not a big issue 🙂

I can see your google code right in the footer. How long have you let google clear there cache? Have you had the coming soon on for any of it? are you giving google the ssl link?

    Hey John,
The theme doesn’t edit any of the cart or checkout setting from woocommerce so there isn’t anything in the update that would cause this.

Some things it could be, a plugin as hannah suggested that is’t working right with the latest woocommerce.
Or it could be that you just need to clear the cache on your mobile device. Have you tired that? If it’s only effecting mobile and hannahs not having any issue it could just be your mobile device.
Also in your paypal settings in woocommerce have you added an api user?

Hi Paul, I’m not seeing this. Are you sure you’re not viewing a cached version? Try clearing your cache.

    When I looked before I saw a cached version…

just go to theme options > menu settings. Set the menu items to 5 for the secondary menu.

Its supposed to be 0 the script that fades in the content isn’t running. It is on the demo site though which is why I though your child theme could be the issue. when you switched themes did you clear your cache?

    My site was loading very… very… slow… ( )
I searched the forum and our suggestions made the difference of 6.19sec to 1.25sec! Testing done with pingdom.com and using WP3 Total Cache.
    THANKS!

Ok thanks. You see I have a really good front end response once my super cache is running. good over all scores from all site testers, It is the back end that is worrying me. I will give this a try Ben. Thanks. Paul

Try deleting super cache and installing w3 total cache- https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/
You can test your site here to see what’s slowing it down the most- http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/

Hi Hannah. Thanks for your reply. Yes it is slow on the front end as well but I expext a certain slowness as I have decided to use quite a bit of imagery on the home page and do not have wp super cache activated. I do not have virte tool kit activated or installed. What would you like a link to Hannah. My site is https://frontlinecanvasart.com/ but it will be slow in loading as like I say my super cache is not activated. If you would pefer a lonk to my dahboard that is ok. Kind regards, Paul

This isn’t any issue with yoast or the theme. Your load time is horrible and it’s timing out when facebook tries to access your site. In the initial call the wait time is over ten seconds.

    Look: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/xEIhI/http://www.bangkokbikerider.com/acceptable-risks/

The one thats working it’s good at all but it’s at least responding within ten seconds and starting to send data, the one that isn’t working isn’t sending data for over ten seconds.

    http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/cplS6d/http://www.bangkokbikerider.com/do-you-believe-in-bangkok-bikelane/

So you either have a really really bad hosting service or your have plugins that are completely bogging down your site.

I would consider getting better hosting. But you can also remove all your extra plugins trim it down to only what is absolutely needed, add in some caching with a plugin like w3 total cache.

Hey, Your host should be able to see why it’s not installing a lot better then any guess I can give. I can just tell you it sounds like your out of space or there is php settings that need to be updated.

I do recommend w3 total cache. There isn’t any compatibility issues with the theme. Your server might have some, also some plugins don’t work well with minify.
