# BEGIN W3TC Page Cache CDN
<FilesMatch “.(ttf|ttc|otf|eot|woff|font.css)$”>

Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*”
</IfModule>

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Possible to Disable Image Flip for IE Browsers?
Unfortunately the code doesn’t work. I guess I didn’t properly clear my caches when I tested it the first time. It appears to disable the flip for other browsers well. (Made sure minification of CSS and JS were turned off to rule them out)
But you know what? Forget about it because only 2.5% of my visitors use IE anyways. Stupid browser :/

January 9, 2015 at 5:34 pm #27120Hey,
Not sure what you mean by jquery strings.Your using jetpacks photon which I strongly recommend not using. It will slow down your site. A lot.
Your also using wp super cache which I don’t recommend using. I think w3 total cache is worlds better.
Even with those things your site load time isn’t that bad. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/culHFX/http://www.cyprusonlineholidays.com/
Under 2 seconds.
What type of server are you on?
Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Ben and team,
Happy New Year!!
I optimized my site with W3 cache and activated CDN with self hosed FTP.
This works great and speeded up my site very fast. But if I activate CDN all icons in the Top and Secondary Menu are gone.
When I disable CDN the icons back.Do you have any idea for a solution?

Thanks a lot

Try clearing your cache.In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: A couple of issues
Hi Ben,
thankyou for your reply. 🙂 I will try to clarify my questions a bit more for you.
1. in the settings in the theme ‘shop’ it has how many ‘products’ to show per page, i have it set to show 10 properties per page. Before it would scroll down and show next page buttons, now when you scroll down it tries to load more properties and doesn’t show all of my products, if you scroll to the bottom as far as it will let you it will cut the last image in half.
2. My apologies, i thought the idea of a shop filter was to filter the products that the shop offers, i didn’t realise it would only filter the products on each page. So the only way the filter works with all products is if they are all loaded on one single page? (sorry, i may just have misunderstood) – its a great feature. 🙂
3. There was a dropdown list, but i have been able to remove it. It had options like ‘list by alphabetical order’ or ‘price low to high’. My question was, does that work just on the page or on all of the shop products? and b, can i take out some of the options like ‘price low to high’ will not work with my site because it is woocommerce and booking system pro combined so works slightly differently to the traditional woocommerce plugin. 🙂
4. what would you suggest good size (dimensions) etc would be good for websites, i am using smushit already with the site, w3 total cache and cloudflare. if you can recommend good sizes or recommendations for this i would be really grateful.
I am using pingdom and google test for my site, ive been working on it for weeks to try and get it faster, (unfortunately i am definitely new at this)
my apologies, i forgot to wish you a happy new year. 🙂
Thanks for your quick response.
Kind regards
Katie

January 6, 2015 at 10:44 pm #26767Hey,
1. I’m not sure what you mean? Or what the question is?
2. If your talking about the filter it’s not like a menu, it is only supposed to filter what is on the page not what is on your whole site.
3. What dropdown list are you referring too?
4. Pageload, your loading really large images (not optimized for web) Looks like you could really save time if you sized images in your slider and on your home page. Like this one for example: http://www.cyprusonlineholidays.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/sea-turtle-547163.jpg the dimensions are fine but the image size is large, if you compressed it would really help.This is a great tool: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/c2vRue/http://www.cyprusonlineholidays.com/
and I highly recommend using w3 total cache.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHey,
Weird and ‘complex’ bug here, and I cannot find the solution 🙁I’ve got a portfolio grid page here *Login to see link that won’t update at all, no matter what I change. I did delete a portfolio item (‘ecole Mesrobian’) but still this one shows up; I added other portfolio items of this type but they won’t add to the grid. I also tried to change the number of columns, without success. The mere adding of text in the page (with the corresponding template ‘Liban’) won’t show up!
This ‘non updating’ behavior only happens to this page! The other portfolios grid work and update fine upon changes; the other portfolio items (related to the problematic portfolio grid) update fine upon changes but the ‘ecole Mesrobian’ item which stopped updating upon new changes yesterday. I deleted it, but still I can access it online here *Login to see link !!!
Note that I tried to empty the cache of my browsers.. and still this items shows up!
I also tried to update permalinks and to deactivate recently added extensions, without success ..
Hope you’ll help me out!Cheers,
Laurent

December 29, 2014 at 1:47 pm #26324You can see your report here: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eORQNO/http://foresthipster.com/
Compare with the demo: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eMBjs5/http://themes.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle-premium-3/
to me getting w3 total cache working and minifying can help some. I would look into hosting your videos on youtube or vimeo and not using a flash player.

December 28, 2014 at 11:25 pm #26235Depends on your server mostly but you can really help it if you optimize the site. With most servers using w3 total cache will make a huge difference. Can you post a link to your site?

In forum: Virtue ThemeHola Senor Ben,
I am having a bit of a difficult time, and perhaps I am merely overlooking an option, but upon creating a thumbnail in WordPress Media —> Edit Image so that this = thumbnail shows when needed….
This Thumbnail still shows next to the excerpt in lieu of the former specifically cropped thumb.
The cache has been purged and disabled for registered users so it does not seem to be the problem.
You may see the actual formatting containing the default thumb and post excerpt here:
*Login to see linkHey,
First of all – this is really great theme and I’m very satisfied with it (so many options and possibilities). Thanks for making it.
And now my problem. If you take a look here: *Login to see link in Firefox you will see that letters like “č” and “š” (secondary menu) are not using the same font as the rest of the letters. I know that problem is not with the font since everything is ok in Chrome.
I did some reading on and found that there is some problem with firefox and fonts, that are not locally stored and that I should add some code to .htaccess file. I have added following code, and cleared cache, but with no success.
AddType font/ttf .ttf
AddType font/eot .eot
AddType font/otf .otf
AddType font/woff .woff<FilesMatch ".(ttf|otf|eot|woff)$">
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
</IfModule>
</FilesMatch>Can you please help me solve this problem?
In forum: Virtue ThemeTopic: No content on Homepage?
Hi Ben,
I have something strange going on with the home page. I cleared the cache and make sure that the page content is active on the home page. I have inserted a image on the home page. Nothing is showing up. *Login to see link all the other pages of the site are working fine.

December 18, 2014 at 11:01 am #25588Eugene,
I recommend using w3 total cache over wp-super-cache.because your using a cdn plugin of some kind you will have to change the htaccess setting so your icons can show:
Font from origin ‘http://movemigration.movemigrationpty.netdna-cdn.com’ has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://movemigration.com.au’ is therefore not allowed access.
ps, I’m not sure thats helping you.
server can also play a part, you do get what you pay for. Here is a comparison with your site and one of the demos that is loading woocommerce:

December 17, 2014 at 12:08 pm #25506Your using caching, so do this add this css:
.kad-slider-parallax .kad-slider .kad-slide { background-position: 50% 0 !important; }And be sure to clear your cache.
