Hope that helps.

September 19, 2014 at 7:46 am #17962I’m not sure where your located, but if you have a server in us then testing from Amsterdam will be much slower then say New York. Also your site is set to use www. So testing without just means your server is redirecting your site to the site with www.
Here is a result testing from new york: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/eEBSEo/http://www.hatchedinfrance.com
and Dallas: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/bQjore/http://www.hatchedinfrance.com
Now those results are far from good. You have a couple issues one being that your server response time is really bad. I will again suggest that you should turn off your database and object caching and talk to your server about the best options for the hosting.
You are also losing a lot of time to the mailchimp script your loading, way more time then you should for a small script so I would consider looking for a different plugin.
And that goes for all your plugins, if your not using the plugin, I strongly suggest you deactivate. For example, cyclone, Kadence and revolution slider, if your not using it deactivate.
You want to go through an work to optimize your results. Here is the demo page with the w3 total cache settings set up and a little more optimization:

September 19, 2014 at 7:31 am #17961Hello Ben,
Its seems that the error message was caused by the debug mode and so I have turned that off and the error message has gone. I have enabled Page Cache, Minify, Browse, data base and object caches. Not sure what best to click in the advanced settings for each?
The site however, is running no faster hatchedinfrance.com currently taking 12 secs to load and http://www.hatchedinfrance.com taking 9 secs to load http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/doy6EA/http://hatchedinfrance.com I see the main problem being with the home page slider at the top and the 3 action boxes. Can you suggest anything?
Also I have reset the body typography and it looks much better.

September 19, 2014 at 12:37 am #17933w3 total cache is a very large plugin with tons of options. Setting it up to work with your server will require some experiments or talking with your hosting company about the best ways to get the plugin to work with your hosting.
I see right now that you have it in debug mode and I would start by turning that off. Turn off your database cache and object cache. So start with just page, minify and browser cache on.
Save your settings and clear the cache.
See if your error goes away, it’s very possible your server isn’t responding well with the object cache.
Also I’ve noticed there is something not quite right with the body typography setting. In your theme options > typography settings, try reselecting your body font.

In forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 19, 2014 at 12:15 am #17927I upgraded my site to Virtue premium and my site was running slow. I checked this forum and went with the recommendation to upload the plugin W3 Total Cache. After activating the plugin I now get a fatal error message “Unknown: cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0”. This shows when I attempt to click on an individual product to view.
My site is http://www.hatchedinfrance.com
and link to the product page *Login to see linkHelp is appreciated
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 16, 2014 at 9:47 am #17692Even so I would clear your cache, (what are your cache settings? Using php?). I would save your permalinks to default or just re-save. Leave the revolution slider plugin on (since you have it set to show in the header) that is the cause of your error.
Custom css shouldn’t be the issue. You can send me a login and I’ll take a look.

In forum: Virtue ThemeWp SuperCache showed “0” cached pages. Theme, WP, and plugins were up to date. Deactivated all plugins and was met with:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function putRevSlider() in /home/nbitat5/public_html/TheRUNiversity.com/wp-content/themes/virtue_premium/lib/custom.php on line 15
Ideas? Was considering removing custom css and redoing.
In forum: Virtue ThemeSeptember 15, 2014 at 11:38 pm #17668Hey so can you confirm everything is up to date, theme, wordpress, plugins.
Can you flush your cache by deleting it in the wp super cache settings.

September 15, 2014 at 6:24 pm #17649Hey,
You should install w3 total cache, and enable page caching.
I think that would make a big difference for you.Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Logo resizing and slow site rendering
September 15, 2014 at 12:31 pm #17597Hey,
1. Check out your logo. you have an inch of white space on the right: http://malernes-aktieselskab.dk/malerweb/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/logo_web.jpg
remove that.
2. The logo is in a div that takes up 50% of the page width, as the screen gets smaller that 50% changes and the image is resized to stay within that div. Removing the white space from your img is a great place to start because that will make your image less wide and thus won’t be pressing against the div container. But you can also change the div container using css to make it say 60%, here is the css you can add to your custom css box:
@media (min-width: 992px) { .kad-header-left { width: 60%; } .kad-header-right { width: 40%; } }As for page speed you should install a plugin like w3 total cache. that way you can enabled page cache and minify your scripts.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: add css in another file
September 15, 2014 at 12:06 pm #17592I’m not sure what you mean or why you want to do this as css in the header is perfectly ok because it can be cached in php… but you can use a child theme, then just add to the child theme css file.

Did you have a chance to visit the second link I sent you: http://brasileirinho.com/tutoriais/
What do you see from your end?
I used 3 different browsers so I know it is not a cache problem. In forum: Virtue Themehi team,
I’m faced with a very peculiar problem. When I do not sign in and add products, the product gets added to the cart, but on visiting the cart, it says, cart is empty. However, when I’m logged in as a user, I’m able to add the products fine and they show up in the cart.
In an attempt to resolve, I tried multiple things:
a. Saved Permalinks
b. Checked Woocommerce logs and system tools. Flushed sessions too.
c. Flushed browser and WP super cache
d. Disabled WP Super cache plugin
e. Increase WP_MEMORY_LIMIT from 40M to 100M
f. Removed all customizationsI’m running out of ideas, this is crucial as my website is planned to go live.
I’d really appreciate your help in looking into this issue.Mitesh.
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: IE 11 very small paragraphs' font
September 14, 2014 at 1:17 am #17489Hey Juan,
In your theme options > typography settings. It looks like you have 10px as your body font size? That is really small? For example this site is 14px.
When I view your site in chrome and firefox the size is very small.Something to double check when doing test is your browser zoom level. Just to make sure one of your browsers is zoomed in or out.
another is to make sure and clear your cache, Both on your site (I see you have super cache) and in the browser. From the screens shots I would guess the firefox is loading a cached version with the fonts set to a larger size.

Ben,
I tried the code you provided verbatim; since there was no change in behaviour, I tried the menu item as well.
I’ve put your recommended code again in the css and gave it another few tries after flushing browser cache, it didn’t gave the desired output. After logging in, I expect the Log In link/Log In menu item/where ever the Log In link is to not show. After I hit the log Out link, the Log Out link disappears (which is as expected).

Hi Ben,
Its just not my day today. OR I’m maybe I’m missing something very basic.
I added the code the the style.css for the child theme I created. And refreshed the browser cache, etc. and gave it few more tries that were unsuccessful.
I understand your time is important for others, but if it strikes you, please give it a shot.
Thanks,
Mitesh. In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: W3 Minify enabled issue
September 9, 2014 at 10:24 pm #17141The demo site is using version 1.0.1 (you can update)
And w3 total cache.
BenIn forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: W3 Minify enabled issue
September 9, 2014 at 1:34 am #17027ok, I did some testing, seems w3 total cache was minifying already minified javascript which was breaking it. I made some changes to how it’s being read and you can can minify js. For example I did here: http://themes.kadencethemes.com/pinnacle-premium/
Along with a couple other optimizations you can really speed up your page load:
