I’ve got real problem on a live site – sakalajewes.co.uk

I originally set up a pair of sites with a small list widget. I then decided that the whole footer could be better done by using the footer facility. So I deleted the widget leaving the widget areas empty.

sakala.co.uk/goa played nice. The live site did not. On the web the list persists whatever I do.

I do not use caching plugins and have cleared my browser cache. I have tried hiding the elements with CSS. I tried placing another widet in colun four but that never showed up. I thought I would overide the whole footer template but the original is intentinally blank.

I’m seeing the separator show now. Did you clear your cache after commenting it out? If you don’t want the CSS, I suggest just deleting it entirely to avoid any further confusion with it.

Hi Luke,
Have you tried clearing your cache after adding the divider? Or have you added a divider to another page to test? I would suggest trying both of those. Let me know how it goes!

The theme wouldn’t be outputting an image hotlinked message. Can you send a screenshot of this? And can you confirm that you cleared your cache after deactivating your plugins and the message still showed?

Great. Any idea what I could do other than clearing all history from my cache, restarting my browser and restarting my computer?

Yes, I cleared my cache and it doesn’t help. I’m viewing the site in Safari and I still can’t see the menu. I checked it in Chrome and there I see it fine.

Can you please In your theme options > misc settings turn off smooth scroll. Leave it off and make sure to clear your site cache and minify plugins.

I’m seeing all of your font changes when I view your site. It’s possible that your browser is caching the old fonts, or that you have a cache running on your site that you’re not aware of.

Which browser/device are you viewing the site with? Try looking at your site while logged out of wordpress on a different browser.

Do you see the correct fonts then?

This would be through the plugin you’re using for your cache, if you’re using one.

If not, are you able to make the selection for Amaranth font, or is it not showing up at all as an option in Theme Options> Typography?

Hello,

Im seeing that font on your site for your body. And a different font for your headings. I suggest clearing your site’s cache to make sure you’re viewing the latest iteration of your site.

I’m not seeing the CSS. Can you confirm that you’ve cleared your cache?

Also, I see you’re adding a script to your custom CSS box. This is not correct and will likely break your site. All custom javascript should be added via Theme Options> Header/Footer Scripts. Header Footer Scripts can be enabled in Theme Options> Theme Extensions.

If you’re still having trouble, can you disable your cache and minify completely so that I can take a closer look?
