1) Logo – i understand what to do
2) i know it’s css, i assumed it has to do with some google font loading. How can i tell witch plugin loads it?
3) i misunderstood Cache TTL = none
4) i thought you might say WP Rocket – i’m waiting to have the budget for it.
Thank you for your time

January 21, 2019 at 12:02 pm #213953Hey,
1. You seem to be adding your logo into the topbar as an image widget. But then you’ve also assigned a logo for the header and then are hiding it with this css:
#logo { display: none; }so don’t assign a logo that you are then going to hide. That would lose one.
You have a logo assigned to the mobile header so you need that and it’s important.
You then have your favicon. Something else you also need.
2. That isn’t a font its a css file:
And it’s not part of the theme. You have a plugin adding that. Likely because that plugin needs the styling.
3. I don’t understand the question, it’s the icon font and it’s loading like it should, it doens’t need a cache lifetime since “if” it changes the theme will change the way it loads to force a clearing of the cache.
4. WP Rocket added improvements to it: https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1100-optimize-woocommerce-get-refreshed-fragments
There may be other plugins otherwise not loading it the only other option.

Hi Kadence team,
after tweaking with Fast Velocity Minify and WP Super Cache, i am pretty pleased with the overall speed and score of the site but there are a few items that i still try to fix:
1) I see 4 requests for the logo, requesting the file in 4 different sizes – why? Can i avoid this?
2) The whole site only uses Arial so i would be happy if NOT loading google scripts would be possible.
I did set all fonts to Arial and set to load fonts locally but i still get this one loading externally:
Also the minify plugin is set to not load google fonts, but..
The same file is also generating some errors in the console.3) …fonts/kt-icon.woff2 has no “cache lifetime” but this is set through the caching plugin and seems to work for all other resources. Also, it seems to load pretty late (Google PageSpeed also has it under: “Ensure text remains visible during webfont load”)
4) a big chunk of the load time is because of this: “…/?wc-ajax=get_refreshed_fragments” I understand that this is the Cart and it loads on every page. Other than forcing it to not load except shop pages, is there another trick that would reduce its load time?
Maybe i just need to set the Minify plugin differently? Here are my settings: *Login to see link
Thank you in advance for your help.
In forum: Ascend ThemeIn reply to: Regarding Performance (of Ascend theme)
January 18, 2019 at 12:03 pm #213763Currently, Ascend and Virtue would have a little better performance in terms of how much Javascript runs compared with Pinnacle. We are talking about KBs the difference of a small image.
This becomes basically mute when you compare what Woocommerce needs/requires to run well on a site. It’s a different area of performance. An e-commerce site requires much more processing power because you can’t just cache everything and deliver a static site. So it comes down to the internal performance and that is all on the server and the theme doesn’t really play a part.
Does that make sense?

January 17, 2019 at 4:56 pm #213700Hey,
I suggest you install Yoast SEO and that would get all the mete information set up for you. Note that it can take time for Facebook to clear the cache of your site.Ben

January 16, 2019 at 10:35 am #213529Hey Robert, could you send me a login to your site. The error: The plugin does not have a valid header. Usually means that there is a plugin on your site loading incorrectly or there is caching in the server database cache is that toying with the active plugin global.
With a login I should be able to figure it out for you.

By default, the products should only show in one column in mobile. Looks like something is adding this CSS:
.tcol-ss-6 { width: 50%; }Which is throwing off the layout. Looks like it’s in wp fastest cache. Try clearing your cache and let me know if it makes a difference. Also be sure to remove the above CSS that I gave you.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn forum: Virtue ThemeHi there,
I have 2 slides set up within the home page slider options, but on my home page, the slider is showing there is 3 slides, yet the third one is blank.
I have tried deleting all the slides and re-adding them, but it hasn’t worked.
I have reset the browser and website cache each time, and have also tried other computers on different internet connections. Not sure what i can do?

January 16, 2019 at 3:40 am #213478Hi,
if you look at the page “https://hailecoffee.at/shop” you will now see, that there is a header “Shop” displayed. If I take that away (in the settings) also the Breadcrum disappears..I cleared the cache but still no change in “Quantity” (I tried to use “Anzahl” or changing the “cart” to “Einkaufswagen” and the Buttons “Ausführung wählen” are still not clickable despite trying it even on an other computer with different browsers…
Cheers
In forum: Virtue ThemeHi!
Since the last update of Virtue theme, the loading of product images has become extremely slow. I use WP Fastest Cache Premium – so as recommended I deleted the Cache and minified CSS/JS after the update but unfortunately, it didn’t sort out the problem.Could you, please have a look?
Thank you.

Hi Hannah,
yes I’ve read this post before and I’ve done all of those things to the best I can do without compromising functionality and/or loss of quality.
The only further thing I can do is upgrade the hosting to one with more nodes as I/O is the main limitation however this site is not in the bottom 20%. Its quicker than most in its niche. With the shrink header option, maybe the javascript that makes it happen executes out of sequence or maybe because the header section isn’t cached?
I only noticed this happen with a recent theme update though…in the meantime i’ll turn off the shrink head option.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi, the Speed Score for your Demo is really good (mobil:75, desktop 95). When I look at the html source, I can not identify any additional plugins for speed optimization (cache, minify…). Can not be, or? On my server, with identical demo installation, I score much worse. How do you optimize the delivery of the wordpress site, regardless of a fast server? Thanks in advance for some tipps ;-). Kind Regards, My
