Topic: Weird lines around blocks
I’ve created a few websites with Kadence and came up with a problem today when redoing my personal website. I started with a clean install and installed Kadence and a single theme. As you can see, if you go to *Login to see link you can see some lines around on blocks. I can also see it on this page: *Login to see link and this page: *Login to see link also: *Login to see link
Kind of at a loss. Any ideas?
In forum: Kadence ThemeSeptember 28, 2023 at 11:04 pm #285725Hi Claire,
One way to see if the issue is related to the Kadence Theme is to temporarily change the theme to a WordPress Default theme like the Twenty Twenty-One theme.
If the issue is resolved when using the default theme, it could be related to the Kadence Theme.
I checked your website and I am not able to submit the subscription form indeed.
Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/6quwBdvz
There is a 401 unauthorized error.
This error typically occurs when a user or client is trying to access a resource (such as a web page or API endpoint) that requires authentication, but the client’s request doesn’t include the necessary credentials or the credentials provided are incorrect. Troubleshooting the specific cause of the error may require examining the server logs, checking your authentication code, or contacting the service administrator for assistance.
Here’s an article on how to fix 401 errors in general: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-401-error-in-wordpress-solutions/
Have you also tried reaching out to MailPoet’s support team to see what could be causing this issue when using their form?
I hope this helps. If you have further questions, please let us know; we’ll be happy to help.

Plugins installed:
Akismet Anti-Spam: Spam Protection (inactive)

Contact Form 7
Kadence Blocks – Gutenberg Blocks for Page Builder Features
Popup Maker
UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
Yoast SEOTested in Chrome and Firefox.
The problem appears after about 20-40 minutes of active editing of site pages (editing-saving-editing-saving, opening and closing site pages, etc.).
At some point, the site stops responding to saving the page (Update button). The button is pressed, becomes inactive and that’s it, the saving itself does not happen… If I then reload the browser page, it does not reload (the browser reload “wheel” spins endlessly). The buttons in the WordPress admin panel are also not clickable. The only thing that helps is closing the browser completely and opening it again.
The problem goes away if I disable the Yoast SEO plugin.
ps I discovered this problem about 3-4 weeks ago. There was no time to write everything.

September 7, 2023 at 1:58 pm #285339Hi Mike,
404 not found is an HTTP status code error that indicates the specific page you are trying to visit is non-existent.
Can you contact your hosting provider and ask for an error log file? If there is a log file, send it to us, it will help to debug the issue
Also, I would recommend you create a staging environment and then update the website. If you are not familiar with staging websites, you can ask your hosting provider to set up a staging environment for you.
Check the article: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/
You can also send a support ticket to look closer at this issue.

ArchitaIn forum: Kadence BlocksAugust 28, 2023 at 3:44 am #285204Hi Kadence team,
I am trying to troubleshoot the Form block which I am using for a mailing list sign up. I set it to MailerLite as the action after submission to add user to my mailerlite list, and added the MailerLite API at the bottom. However, when I try to test it, my test emails are not added to my MailerLite list.
I saw another Kadence help thread about there being issues with old & new MailerLite API and to contact MailerLite directly. I reached out to them but they said they cannot help with 3rd party integration and they told me to contact you all. They said my API is the new version.
Any guidance on how to begin troubleshooting this would be appreciate, thanks!

I’m brand new to Kadence so sorry for the really dumb question!

July 6, 2023 at 2:33 pm #284499Hi Ian,
Sorry for the delay in reply.
I have installed https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-product-filter/ on my test website and unable to replicate the issue on my test website.
Can you confirm if the Get price button is added by any plugin or if it is a custom plugin?
There is an option in the plugin to Force Theme Template. Please enable that option and test. Check screenshot: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Z4uGK8x5
I suggest you contact WBW plugin support about this. They can help you better on this issue.
I hope this helps, please let us know if we can assist you further.

Thank you Karla, I setup a few sites on the Umbrella platform, however after some discussion it became apparent that this solution will not work. There is no error log for a 500 ISE which is what happens when we try to upgrade the PHP.
He says:
Thank you for providing me with more informations about your use case, now I understand your situation and the issue that you are facing!
I think that WP Umbrella will not be helpful in such situation: because the PHP upgrade totally breaks your website, WP Umbrella is not able to communicate with it and I think that based on what you described, we will never be able to fetch the errors in questions.
In such situation, I think that you should contact your hosting provider or a WordPress agency specialized in PHP migration.

June 29, 2023 at 8:55 pm #284405Hi Ruth,
I see that you are using a different theme on your website called Beespoke.
You mentioned that you preformed the troubleshooting steps. Did this include changing the theme to a default WordPress theme like the Twenty Twenty-One theme?
It is possible that the theme is adding some features on the elements of your website that is causing this behavior.
Here are some things that I observed:
An animated bottom class name is being added when scrolling down that is showing the section of text.
Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Wnu6Bxrr
The hero section is also a part of the theme, thus this behavior is most likely from the styles/settings of this theme as well.
Here’s a screen recording for reference: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuOAYdg
If these elements are from the theme, I would also recommend contacting the third-party theme’s support team to see if there are any settings that will prevent this issue or behavior from happening on your website.
Please let us know how it goes, we’ll be more than happy to help.

“Your theme (Ascend) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.

Big fan of Kadence theme and blocks and hope you can help. I have a multisite with a few subsites. On this subsite page *Login to see link for example, I find the form block gets broken after I add it. It says “This block contains unexpected or invalid content.”
On the main site the form looks fine and tests emails work too.
Can you please advise?
Thank you.

May 16, 2023 at 3:50 am #283841Hello Rick,
It looks like a server memory limit issue.
Please contact your host and tell them to increase your server limitations.
The following are the recommended values:
– the PHP memory limit set to 512MB
– the max post size bigger or equal to 50MB
– the WP-memory limit 128/256 MB
– the max upload size 50 MB
– the max input vars 2500
– and ideally the max execution time should be around 300Once done, please test it again and see if the error would still occur.
Looking forward to your update.

ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Multiple Issues After Update
May 11, 2023 at 9:34 pm #283787Hey there, friends. After recently updating to the most up-to-date Kadence theme, I’m experiencing issues with my homepage. I contacted WordPress Support regarding this, as I wasn’t originally aware that I could contact Kadence directly. The Support Rep at WordPress informed me that the recent update resulted in my both of my ‘Blog Post’ blocks losing their associated featured images due to the height being set to 0 (image attached).
So, the rep gave me the following additional CSS to add in order to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, now, there’s a substantial gap in between my images and their associated titles/excerpts (image attached).
You can see the large gap between the editor and the live page.
Any help here would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I’ve been building WP websites way before Gutenberg Blocks or any Blocks so I prefer Classic editor.
Yes, the Contact Form 7 states this under the email address:

Anyway, I installed WPForms and this looks like it’ll work for now. Thank you for the recommendation.
