    Your getting this error:

    A Parser-blocking, cross site (i.e. different eTLD+1) script, https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/WidgetEmbed-rated?lang=en_AU&locationId=12310328&display_version=2&uniq=807, is invoked via document.write. This MAY be blocked by the browser in this or a future page load due to poor network connectivity. If blocked in this page load, it will be confirmed in a subsequent console message.See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5718547946799104 for more details.

    This doesn’t have to do with the theme at all. It’s how the script is being built. You would need to report this to trip advisor and see if they have an option to fix.

    We have some code from TripAdvisor to embed for a badge

    <div id=”TA_rated807″ class=”TA_rated”>
    <ul id=”SeMmzpKa” class=”TA_links eimXQRd8″>
    <li id=”KzvISIM6J” class=”LGA9v3jDj”>

    </div>
    <script src=”

    We have tried it on the home page, in the footer and in the sidebar but it does not display correctly on the site at all

    This is what the widget should look like

    Here is what happens when I post it in the site sidebar

    It is a theme related problem because I’ve tried it on another site and it works fine

    Hi Ben, hi Hannah,

    Ascend premium mobile – I have two issues and a question 😉

    The question first: I can’t find any option to control the page title background on mobile. On that particular website it looks great on desktop but dreadful on mobile as the image moves towards the title and subtitle and it becomes unreadable. How can I fix this, or move the title to the right of the page on mobile only, or completely remove page title background image for mobile?

    Issue 1: except on the homepage (on the hompeage I am running a Kadence Slider), all the other pages display a grey area on top before the header. See screenshot in the next post. It happens on iPad and on a Sony Xperia smartphone running Android.

    Issue 2: on my smartphone (see other screenshot in the next post), the site doesn’t seem 100% responsive, see what happens with the hamburger menu on the right, and the entire page, any page, including the homepage. Better yet, check the link below yourselves on a smartphone, you’ll see it better.

    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Anne

    I’ve tested this on my ipad now and the tagline issue happens here, on portrait and landscape mode.

    The topbar css worked thank you..

    My logo might be large as there is no exact size, this will be trialed on a smart tv as well as PC’s laptops, and iPads – what size do you recommend?

    The logo in IE is a standard PC monitor(non retina) running windows 7.

    I do have a macbook retina, and the logos display properly in safari, firefox and chrome..

    thank you for your quick responses.

    In reply to: Mobile Header Padding

    #136649

    1. This CSS is causing that issue:

    .headerclass .col-md-4 {
        z-index: 1000;
    }

    What are you trying to achieve with this?

    2. This CSS should remove that gap:

    @media (max-width: 992px) {
    .home .contentclass {
        padding-top: 0 !important;
        }
    }

    3. I don’t have access to an ipad to test this. Can you share some screenshots? (postimg.org)

    4. Can you also share a screenshot of this?

    thanks,
    Kevin

    I see you added a 15px margin to the top of your logo. I’m not really understanding why all this back and forth but now that you did add that. I see it working on desktop and ipad.

    Can we make sure we are still talking about the same site?

    I am still having some little issues with the header on http://www.highland-builders.com

    This is all related to the same CSS – and wondering if there is something that I can do to resolve these issues.

    1) In the iPad size, you cannot get to the menu because the logo “area” is large and it sends you back to home page when you try to click on the menu
    2) For the mobile sizes, there is a white strip above the large graphic/text. Would like that to be tight to the logo/menu background color
    3) iPad size logo/menu background is gray in some browsers (Firefox & Safari) but overlays as intended in Chrome.
    4) There is still one size in there with a white background… most easily seen if you drag a desktop browser large to small

    Any ideas?

    Primary color #de1d84

    I will try this code to hide the topbar on mobile. But curious as to why that option in Theme Settings is not working for me.

    Yes, tested on android phone and ipad. That #2d5c88 blue color is bg color on my topbar and buttons and some texts links. Most of these blue instances are buttons and links for Woocommerce.

    And the possibility of putting a menu in the topbar – or specifically, above the logo?

    Thanks!

    It doesn’t appear that the text you set in this widget resizes automatically to the size of screen you are using. I don’t have any control on the size of the text. I downloaded the demo content for the “store.” It uses page builder and I added two more cells, for a total of five. The one to look at is in the fourth cell. The word ACCESSORIES won’t resize to fit into my screen on my MAC laptop or my iPad. It looks fine on my desktop, a wide screen, and my LG phone. Also on the iPAD, the cell labeled PITCHING MACHINES fails to resize.

    This brings up another question about the white border on these cells. I have no control over the color or size or whether I even want it. This white border just shows up, if I have a very light image in that cell, it bleeds into the white border and doesn’t look very good.

    Any way to control the resizing of the text in these cells and/or the white border? Thanks. /Bob

    Website:

    I have “enable search in primary menu?” turned on in the Theme Options / Menu Settings. I would like the search icon (magnifying glass) displayed on the far right of the menus.

    When the window on a desktop is a certain size, the Search Icon is displayed below the primary menu and in the center of the screen instead of to the far right in the primary menu.

    I have tested it in different browsers.

    In Firefox and Chrome, it is always displayed underneath the primary menu and not in the menu.
    In Safari, there is a certain window width where it displays under. If the window is stretched wide enough, the magnifying glass does go to the far right of the primary menu.

    In testing it on the iPad, I see a second problem…the search field does not display in the drop-down menu. It does on the iPhone.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hello Kevin,

    That’s interesting. I have this problem with my ipad and iphone, both with iOS 10.2.1.

    I have posted images from both devices here:

    https://postimg.org/gallery/2bhp5dvzs/

    With ipad there’s the white box on the top left and with iphone on the top middle.

    #129785

    Kevin, this cover CSS gave the right results in laptop screen size, but made things wonky in ipad and mobile sizes.

    Ipad size error: one of the navigation categories, “Contacts”, is forced into a second row. This then throws off the drop-down menu items from the Primary menu navigation.

    At about 550px wide, when the Primary menu disappears, if I click the menu to drop down, the header background image is massively zoomed in. I’m actually fine with this look, because the menu text in white is visible against the darker photo background.

    At 350-400px wide, there is a major issue. The drop down menu is not visible because there is no background. Also, the header image jumps down 3 inches, and hovers in an awkward position.

    I think I’m close to having something workable here, but these kinds of errors really hinder the process. Thanks for any thoughts you might have on this.
