January 20, 2016 at 12:34 pm #76718Hey so biggest thing I see is your server response time http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/zpKZq/robertlo.myhostpoint.ch
All the content is loading pretty quick once you get a response from the server. So this just means your on a pretty slow server. without having to get a new server what can help a lot is to use caching. w3 total cache is a free plugin that can help with this. Install and enable page and browser caching and see if that improves your speed. You can also try enabling database caching and minify on auto.
If that doesn’t help then you really need to talk with your host any see if they can explain why it’s taking there servers so long to respond.
the folder setup shouldn’t matter as long as the dns is pointing to the right place (which it is).

Hi David,
If you have turned the mobile slider on and selected a slider both sliders should not be showing. Did you try clearing your cache? Can you turn the mobile slider back on so I can take a look?
The Kadence slider is a background slider. Meaning the size of the slider is not determined by the image. It’s determined by your height and width settings.Hannah

Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your reply. I cleared the cache as you advised and the page looks fine now. I’m still having some issues from time to time with time-out and messy display but I’m actually checking it with my hosting service. Also told them about the possibility of increasing my php memory as you mentioned.

Thanks Hannah, I have tried clearing the cache many times but it never helped.
Thanks Ben. I have previously disabled all plugins and it still does it. I just tried it again with the plugin deactivated on my phone and the google developer mobile device and in internet explore using screefly’s mobile setting and all 3 are acting the same as before even with the plugin disabled. I use this plugin to redirect mobile users to a more mobile friendly page.
I did just figure out that if I am logged into wordpress on any of the formats then it will not mess up at all. It works exactly as it should but as soon as I log out then it starts to act all glicthy again. I hope this helps you with figuring this out.
I posted this earlier but it might have gotten lost in all of the threads. I have an issue where only my most recent blog post (instead of my 2 most recent posts) is showing up in “Latest Blog Posts” on my home layout. There are “two” posts that show up but the second post is some random link to my home page. You can see my issue here: *Login to see link
I also checked my blog page and it only had 1 post also. So to fix that issue I ended up going to settings > reading > post page > Blog which ended up fixing the blog page but the home page is still not working. And once I create a new post, the newest post is on the home page but the second post stays the weird “Home” post. I have tried purging the cache but I haven’t had any luck.
When I inspect the element it looks like the code is pulling from post-48, while the newest post is 504. I am using Virtue Premium and have updated to the latest version of Woocommerce. There might be something wrong in the PHP code or a simple setting change in the Home Layout screen. Please help I’ve been working on this issue for awhile now!
Please let me know if you any suggestions. Thank you in advance 🙂

I have no idea why it’s not working on your end! Have you tried clearing your cache after making the change to see if that solves it?
Here is one more piece of CSS to try. It works when I test it, so fingers crossed..wp-caption-text { font-size: 16px !important; }If that doesn’t work, then I’m sure someone smarter than me will have something to say about it soon enough.

In forum: Virtue ThemeHi Kadence Team,
I have an issue where only my most recent blog post (instead of my 2 most recent posts) is showing up in “Latest Blog Posts” on my home layout. You can see my issue here: *Login to see link
At first I could only see one blog post on my blog page but I ended up changing settings > reading > post page > Blog which fixed that, so I thought it would fix my latest post part too. But it didn’t do it. And once I create a new post, the newest post is on the home page but the second post stays the weird “Home” post. I have tried purging the cache but I haven’t had any luck. In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Register at Checkout or MyAccount doesn't work
Hi Hannah,
In case I wasn’t clear in my original post, the issue was after a customer registered, they couldn’t login. On Windows 10 browser it worked, not on Chrome, how weird. The login page would just keep reloading and not take the customer to their account. I am using the latest version of the theme 3.4.5 at bounciesfrombohemia.com.I also contacted woothemes and they thought it was a caching issue and suggested I look at my ZenCache settings. I had deactivated that plugin and still had the problem. But I agree that somehow it was a caching issue. Since I needed to find a solution quickly, I went a different route by installing the ultimate member plugin and used that for customer login and woocommerce customer profile. Low and behold it works in all browsers and plays nice with the theme and woocommerce.
The original cause is still a mystery, but the site works now.

Thanks a lot, Ben.
Unfortunately, I still have an issue, the cart displays the total tax included during a second, and then the total tax excluded displays again. The cache has been cleared.
The structure of my child theme is this one – I assumed I had to copy the header-topbar.php file in the templates folder of my child theme.

Hi Stephanie,
I don’t believe there is a limit in adding portfolio posts. I’m seeing all your featured images display fine. Have you tried clearing your cache?
If your server is timing out more than likely your php memory needs to be increased. Your host should be able to help you with this. Or see here- http://docs.woothemes.com/document/increasing-the-wordpress-memory-limit/Hannah

Hey Jamie,
Very sorry for the delay! Just letting you know that this is not being ignored. The theme developer is currently on a trip with limited internet access, but I will make sure he gives this attention. In the mean time, have you tried clearing your cache?
Thanks for your patience!Hannah
