It really shouldn’t matter what resolution your displaying the page on as long as you have the settings set to what you want through the menu. I would try clearing your cache as well as disabling various plugins to see if anything is interfering on that end, if you haven’t already tried that. I’ll keep messing around with my demo sites to see if I can replicate the issue.

Yeah only one. I prefer w3 total cache of the two. But it’s possible super cache has options. You could ask there support.

Ok, thanks Ben. I’m using WP Super Cache, Can I use W3 total cache with that or I have to use one at a time?

    Thanks!

    #74215

    Hey,
    1. In your theme options > advanced styling. Remove the white from your “menu background” Just leave that transparent.

    2. Looks like you are using template feature but based on your setup I don’t think you need to be. Just change to the default template.

    3. Start by turning off jetpacks photon. In your jetpack settings. Then I would suggest compressing your images. And also using a caching plugin like w3 total cache.

    Hey Jon,
When I visit another page on your site then click Home in header I am being sent back to the home page as it should be. This is not the case for you? What browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache?

Hi Kevin, I’ve just tried to clear all Safari’s cache and history – and it fixed it. Didn’t occur to me phone has caches just as desktop does..
    Phew.
    All fine..
    Thanks for your help.

On mobile I see that this text “Sagrada familia” is too large and sticking off the page. But I don’t see this on desktop.

Can you try decreasing the size of that and then clearing your cache?

Deleted cache, inclusive the plugin disabled, and the problem still persists in 3 devices (tablet, phone, pc), the problem can see when the scroll go to the right side, at first glance is not can see…

    Hey,
I’m seeing both of these loading. What browser are you using? Have you tried clearing your cache?
The only thing that isn’t showing for me is your call to action background image. Have you set one?

    Hey Ben!

Clearing the Autoptamize cache did the trick, thank you!

    1. Yes, use the Kadence or Revolution slider for the home page. Even if it’s just one image both of those sliders have a “full screen” full height option that sizes the slider based on the screen size.
You set this in your theme otpjons > home slider area.

    2. You don’t need to add any space to start with. If you don’t want to have a page title at all with no image then you can turn that off in your theme options > page title area.

    3. I would suggest just making your header height smaller. since it’s not going to effect the height of your home slider. so making it the height you want based on the position from the top would be best.

    4. Looks like you had jetpacks mobile theme activated. I deactivated for you.

    5. Where are you wanting the mobile navigation to show up?
Where are you turning it off?

    6. A couple points on this. (hosing is key. you do get what you pay for, use w3 total cache or wp-rocket cache. A good caching plugin with minify can really help. Don’t overuse plugins. Think minimal where you can. Test with pingdom for speed tests and really work to keep your images compressed so your site file size stays low.

    7. This is because scrolling is done a bit differently in a touch device on a mobile browser. The way that scrolling is triggered is a little different and there is a “lag” in that it won’t trigger scroll the same way.

    8. There are plugins that have more social link options: https://wordpress.org/plugins/awesome-social-icons/

    Hi Stefano,
Which browser are you using? I just checked in three different ones and couldn’t get this issue to repeat. Have you tried clearing your cache?

    Hey,
So just to clarify terms. Those are not Search Engine Optimization issues exactly. Those are probably things that a google page speed or something similar told you that you need to “fix” for page speed.

    1. You shouldn’t every put all the js at the bottom but using w3 total cache or wp-rocket would be the best option to minify and set most of your js into the footer.
    2. Either of the two above plugins will do this.
    3. You can post a link but this most likely means you have plugins adding http requests thats an issue that can’t be “solved” unless you limit how many plugins you using.
    4. For DNS you need to talk with your hosting service. They can track down those errors.

In reply to: Text above Image Grid

    #73674

Ben, thank you for the suggestion. I’m trying it out.. Is it possible that Portfolio grid version loads faster than Gallery? I’ve tried out several variants, and each time I have an impression Portfolio grid loads faster (with emptied caches), than Gallery. But maybe it’s an optical trick cause with Gallery I have my title at the top.. I use animated text at the top, so with empty cache first sentence gets quite rugged during initial gallery and bg.jpb loading.

Ok, I just tested around with WP Super Cache and it just looks like main thing is just that your caching is turned on. Is this the case for you? You can turn it on by going to Settings > WP Super Cache > Easy.

    Hey Hannah,

No, I don’t see them. After reading post again it looks like these settings might be for W3 cache, not what I’m using. I’ll do more reaserch on WP Super cache, I’m not sure if I even have mine configured correctly.

    Thanks for the support!
