In forum: Pinnacle ThemeIn reply to: Pinnacle Gallery widget not working?
December 30, 2015 at 4:03 pm #73470Hey Ben
Eternal thanks for your suggestion to my follow-up questions, they both worked exactly as i had wished for. I’m in your debt
Unfortunately, I’m still having an issue with a my main issue; the Pinnacle Gallery widget buttons do not seem to respond to my button presses.
I did check aLl browsers yesterday, but today, i deactivated all plugins, deleted the cache and tried on 4 different browsers across 3 machines.
I’m on a MacBook Pro running 10.10.4. Chrome, Safari and Firefox did not work
tried on iMac using 10.10.3. Safari & Chrome did not work
Tried on a Windows machine (not running latest updates), IE did not work.Did the machine you tried this one have a fully updated OS & browser?
The only thing i can think of is that these machines are not running the latest version of their OS, i can try updated my Mac tonight to see if it’ll help. But i’m skeptical that this problem is related to it.
Do you have any other ideas, or even other workarounds or widgets you’d suggest i use instead? I understand if this case it too rare to investigate, and i don’t mind using a suitable workaround. But I’d really like to be able to manipulate the gallery images on this page.
Thanks again for the support on this
-Michael

December 30, 2015 at 1:20 pm #73432Hmm, Have you tried clearing your cache on your device? I can see the slider using iphone 6.
One thing I’m noticing is that your mobile menu background seems to be set to transparent? In your theme options > advanced styling. Make sure the mobile menu background is not transparent.

1.
.col-md-6.col-sm-6.col-xs-6 {display: none;}2.
I would try deleting the image, clearing your cache, and re-uploading it. And obviously, make sure that the settings for the background match all of those of the other pages.3.
It looks like you’ve figured this one out!Hopefully that’s helpful!
In forum: Pinnacle ThemeDecember 28, 2015 at 9:47 pm #73212Hello Kadence folks
Hate to bother, but I’ve got a bit of an issue here that i haven’t been able to figure out yet. Hopefully it’s just something i’m overlooking
For some strange reason, pictures from my gallery do not show up at all using the Pinnacle Gallery widget, regardless of what area of the site i assign the widget to.
Strange thing is, the title for the pinnacle gallery widget does show up in the assigned area. So it seems as the widget is writing to the page correctly, but it simply cannot see the gallery.
Furthermore, the Pinnacle Carousel and Pinnacle Post Grid both work as intended by displaying images from those pages into the widget area, giving me further reason to believe the issue is related to my gallery and how the widget sees it
I cleared the cache several times and deactivated all plugins, but that did not help. Also switched the gallery to use standard format (my gallery was originally using masonry). The gallery images still did not appear in the widget.
Is there something i’m supposed to do to make the widget see my gallery, or is this some sort of bug?
I’d rather not use a 3rd party gallery widget due to fears it might compromise the site’s functionality, but I’d be more than happy to use one you’d recommend.Unfortunately, the issue is a bit sensitive, so i hope i can hear back soon. I’d appreciate any assistance.

December 26, 2015 at 3:26 pm #72958Thanks for the reply Dana! I appreciate it.
Unfortunately, i’ve tried the suggestions mentioned here various times (specifically clearing the cache) to no avail. I also updated the new theme. But I can try clearing the cache again to see if something changed with the new theme.
the the section of the site in question.
It not a big deal yet, as is it Christmas season. However, the site is for a presentation on Monday, so this all has to be working by then.
If it helps, i found an error in the page that seems to associated with the image. I’ll post it here
<b>Warning</b>: stripos() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in <b>/home2/waa6tu0aas3g/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php</b> on line <b>3379</b><br />

I’ve tried Firefox, Edge (the new IE), and Chrome – all are the same even if I clear the cache, cookies, and browsing data. The homepage shows the blog featured images, but the blog posts themselves aren’t displaying them, there’s just a broken image link above the title of the blog post (but all the other images embedded in the posts are showing up fine). Don’t worry about it right now, it’s not massively important right now as at least my site is displaying the homepage images correctly. Enjoy your Xmas, and thanks for looking into it! 🙂

Hi Ben, I tried both (deactivating photon, clearing the caches) and nothing changed. The featured images on the blog posts themselves are still showing up as broken links. At least they’re displaying correctly on the home page, which was the major cause for concern for me. Of course I still need the images to work on the blog posts, but as it’s Xmas I’m not too fussed to figure it out immediately.

December 24, 2015 at 3:29 pm #72851Hey,
Can you clear the plugin cache. It looks like WP Super Minify plugin and w3 total cache. Can you make sure both of those are cleared? One thing to try is to turn off jetpacks photon as a test.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Cart does not work correctly in all browsers
Ben,
I have reactivated back my cache plugin W3 total cache. I just double checked the settings and I see it is marked as disabled. I remember now that it is because last time I had problems I have disabled minifying and different type of caches.
Actually I am not testing something specifically. just trying to understand if the site loads correctly and well on all browsers, as I have occasionally noticed that it does not work from other computers and for different browsers.
I have a couple more small questions:
1) How can I add small icon in the browser next to the domain name of my site?
2) In the features products I have grey background and white letters for the “Add to cart” message. Where can I change the colors? I want to make it more noticeable.
3) Now for me the menu bar and the feature products are a bit too wide. I want the client to see the next article of my site from the first look w/o scrolling down. I hope it is possible to do that via making the menu bar and feature widget a bit more narrow. Thanks
