Hello, I have this exact same issue. I have cleared my site and browser caches and used the Health Check Plugin to troubleshoot.

With Health Check, I determined that I only encounter this error when Gutenberg is enabled. If I disable it, everything appears to work fine.

In case the recent upgrade was glitchy, I reinstalled it. No change to the problem.

I am using Kadence Blocks and Kadence Blocks Pro. Do they require Gutenberg (can I disable/delete the plugin)? What else can I try to diagnose this issue?

    Hi there,

I see you have already removed the underline in the footer menu. Screenshot:
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuvxvWG

If this is not what you see on your end, kindly clear the browser cache or use an incognito window.

Let us know how we can help further.

    Kind regards,

    Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I tried the options on my test website. The Virtue Premium theme that I am using is the latest one (4.10.8). As you will see in this screen recording, the filter is working on the Shop and product category pages – https://share.getcloudapp.com/o0u9YWrP.

I can see that you’re using WordPress Super Cache. After saving the change in your theme options, did you clear your website cache? If not yet, please do so and see if the filter will show after.

I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hey Juan,

I viewed the video, but I could not replicate what I saw in the video you linked. Here is a video clip of me trying to replicate this issue on your website: https://share.getcloudapp.com/NQu44jJy

I wasn’t able to get the same results as you. I tried this on Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I also tried to recreate your header on my test website, and I was still unable to reproduce the problem.

Can you ensure that you have already cleared your Cache? You can refer to this link on how to clear your website cache.
    https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/clearing-your-website-cache/

Do you have any browser extensions active? If so, can you turn them off and see if the issue persists?

Can you try viewing your website from an incognito tab?

Have you tried to reproduce this issue on a different device? I wasn’t able to reproduce it, and neither was Hannah. If we reproduce the problem, we can report it as a bug to our dev team.

    Hey,

I tried replicating this issue on my test website, but the problem didn’t occur. I used the same headings as your website is using. Here is a video of my results: https://share.getcloudapp.com/4gu44rl4

Can you try going over the steps in this Kadence Troubleshooting article? https://www.kadencewp.com/blog/how-to-troubleshoot-your-website/

In particular, can you check for plugin conflicts? You can use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to deactivate plugins on your website temporarily. https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/temporarily-deactivating-plugins/

You can get the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

I noticed that you are using a Cache plugin. Sometimes these kinds of plugins can cause code not to load correctly. When checking for a plugin conflict, can you see if the issue is coming from your Cache plugin? Thanks!

    Best Regards,
    Victor

    Hi Juan,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m not able to replicate this. What browser are you working in? Have you cleared your cache?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

OK thanks Karla. Cleared the WP-Optimize cache and browser cache. I’m not an expert at WordPress but if you look at https://sagensound.ca/ you will see breadcrumbs (and title) on all pages, as I set it up in Appearance/Customize. This does not happen with https://iwsystems.ca/ or the other sites on which I would like it to happen. Under Console in Developer Tools (Google Chrome) I see a lot of Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT messages but very few of these for https://sagensound.ca/. I looked for https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOu19Yxk? but did not find it.

    Hi there,

Thanks for extending the access. I checked it and the custom template is working as expected. Here’s a video: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Z4um1OjA

If you are seeing a different output on your screen, it’s the browser cache on your end. Kindly clear the browser cache or use an incognito window.

Let us know how we can help further.

    Kind regards,
    Chito

    Hi there.

The breadcrumbs are shown inside the title sections. If you use the shortcode, the breadcrumbs should show on that specific location.

If the issue only happens on one of your websites, then I believe it is not a bug. Please could you specify which page or post should the breadcrumbs be showing on the https://iwsystems.ca/ website?

Should they be shown inside this section – https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOu19Yxk? I inspected the page but I didn’t see any HTML related to the breadcrumbs.

If you have a caching plugin, please clear the cache from it to make sure that your pages will not show older (cached) content. Here’s our guide – https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/clearing-your-website-cache/.

Please let us know if we can assist you further.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hi, Saad!

I sent a response to your support ticket yesterday. For your reference, this was my response:

“There are some console errors on the browser – https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuZkR6n. Also, the styles are not being applied.

I saw that you’re using WP Rocket and you have Cloudflare CDN. Could you confirm if you already purged the cache from these two? If you haven’t yet, please do. Sometimes, the issue with styles are coming from optimizations and you must clear the cache so the resources such as CSS/JS files will be updated. You may refer to the following links as guides:

If purging the cache did not solve the issue, could you try deactivating the WP Rocket plugin? If the issue doesn’t happen after deactivating it, then there must be some optimization option that causes the issue. Try turning them off one by one to point out which one of them causes the issue. You can also see the post here – https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/1291-find-the-best-settings-for-your-site.

If the above step did not help either, deactivate your plugins one by one. This should let us know if there is a plugin that is causing the issue. I also recommend deactivating the WP Rocket plugin all throughout the process to ensure that there will be no cached styles. Here’s our guide – https://www.kadencewp.com/kadence-theme/knowledge-base/troubleshooting/temporarily-deactivating-plugins/

If we can assist you further with this, let us know by replying via email or this forum.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hey,
I don’t know Code Profiler Pro, or how it measures things. So I got a copy to check it out. I was skeptical about how it would be able to measure the right performance information to draw actionable information from. For example, showing an autoloader as a potential “bottleneck” tells me something about how it’s calculating things isn’t right. As if it’s viewing the amount of time a function is used/called as a net negative by the way it’s presenting the information.

The time-consuming things in WordPress are calls to the database to get information like theme options from the options table or posts or post meta. Those calls are all core functions. The options component simply gets the options table through the get option function. Kadence isn’t doing anything custom, so all of the database caching optimization that can be done by optimizing WordPress will improve Kadence because it’s all the core functions. The theme is going to be accessing the options table early in the page load, and once it’s accessed, everything else that has options will get its information from the options table cache and not from the database. So showing that time is spent in a Kadence file is not providing the context for what is happening, and Kadence is using all core functions, so your not getting any real information in those images about what core functions are running.

Also, it appears this plugin is intentionally trying to bypass cache. From the FAQ:

Will Code Profiler work if I have a caching plugin or a PHP opcode cache, or if my website is using a CDN service?

In most cases, Code Profiler will be able to bypass caching from plugins and CDN services, as well as your PHP opcode cache. If there were a problem, it would warn you about it.

This really makes it a plugin looking for outliers in code that is useful for developers that understand all of the contexts of what’s happening on a page load and not as a general guide to the average user. Bypassing cache means things will take longer then what happens for your average users so it’s not a real measure of site performance.

I did some tests on this example site: https://toucan.kadencewp.com/. That site is running woocommerce, subscriptions, ACF etc. So it’s a pretty heavy site in terms of heavy plugins it’s loading. My results show options function as using a lot of time (which makes sense to me based on the above) but not taking as long as your site.

    https://share.getcloudapp.com/DOukBzv5
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/Apue95rz
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/nOu1vGNQ

I would put all this as generally not that helpful for fine-tuning. If the plugin is bypassing your cache too then it showing that it’s taking less than a second to do database queries each time get_option is called is really reasonable.

I would say that if you have a problem with your site slowing down you want to view this from the perspective of cache running and seeing what is causing it to be slow for your actual users. Using https://gtmetrix.com and breaking things down from there.

    does that make sense?

    Ben

    Hi, Élisabeth!

I’m so sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I tried replicating the issue on my website but the featured image option is showing. Also, the Gallery and Advanced Gallery blocks are both working fine. See this screen recording – https://share.getcloudapp.com/YEuDXYXl.

I then inspected your website and it seems like some CSS files are not updated. I can see that you are using the W3 Total Cache on your website. Please clear the cache from it to ensure that all your website resources are updated. If you also have some CDN set up, please purge any cache enabled in it.

I hope this helps, and let us know if we can assist you further.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I looked at the pages and I saw another issue – the menu dropdowns on the other posts are unstyled. I am trying to figure out the style differences between the posts and I do not see the styles for the “active” state of the off-canvas popup. However, the mobile menu items are there.

I also saw that you have the LiteSpeed cache plugin. If you deactivate that temporarily, will the issues be fixed? If so, please try to clear your website cache and test if the issue will be fixed again.

If not, you will need to turn off the cache plugin settings one by one to pinpoint which of them are causing the layout issue. I recommend focusing on the CSS files/files optimization options.

I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi,
I have prepared the website and the menu. Everything worked until I started doing other things on desktop and mobile. At the moment, the menu on mobile does not work. The hamburger icon is there, but when pressed it doesn’t display anything.
In header > menu I have the trigger set for mobile and the menus are correctly set. However, it does not display the content for me.
There are no plugin conflicts, cache cleared, can I ask for help?

    Hi there!

I tried setting up two conversion items based on how you described them. However, the countdown block inside the bottom banner is always correct, even if the “exit content” one is set to show.

Watch this screen recording for your reference – https://share.getcloudapp.com/04uyKk9e. Could you confirm if I did both conversion items correctly?

On the other hand, you mentioned you cleared the cache already. Does that include your Cloudflare CDN? If not, please clear the cache there too. Here are other troubleshooting guides to help you pinpoint the cause of the issue:

I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you further.

    #281314

    Hi Kadence Team!

I am using the countdown block inside 2 different sets of popups (on-exit intent) and a banner (fixed to bottom) conversion item. Both sets work on the same page with different URL parameters for triggering:

    SET #1:

The timer is set to count until Jan 1st. (It does fine)

    SET #2:

The timer is set to count until Feb 1st, but it shows like it was set to Jan 1st like de Set #1.

I triple check both conversions items and block settings. Also cleared cache several times. No luck yet.

    Any idea to solve this?

    #281282

Hi, Karla. Thank you for answer.
I’v seen your video. Yes that are the steps i get error with.
Apparently, I will have to do experiments with plugins and themes to localize the problem. Unfortunately, I’m still newbie at WordPress (i dont know safe paths and dont understand side effects of certain actions). So the work will take time.
    Thank yoy again.

PS: May permalink setting the same as your (they are default as i remember). And i empty cache every time i change pages or settings (
    “WP Super Cache” and browser’s).

    #281252

    Hi there!

Thank you for sending additional information and steps to properly replicate the issue.

Here’s a screen recording of my test – https://share.getcloudapp.com/jkuOJYJe. As you have seen, I was not able to encounter the same error. Just to confirm, if you temporarily switch to another theme, like WordPress Twenty Twenty-One, will the same issue happen?

If it also happened with another theme, it must be an issue with your permalinks. Could you send us a screenshot of your permalink settings? Do you have any changes in the product-related base permalinks? If so, try to return that to default. For your reference, these are my permalink settings:

Lastly, clear your WordPress Supercache plugin cache.

Let us know if we can assist you further with this.

    Kind regards,
    Karla

    Hi,
Thank you for your answer. I have disabled all autoptimize settings and cleared the cache and still happens the same.

    It’s really strange.

    Thank you for your help.
