In reply to: Can’t edit header and footer
Hi travelcompositions,
Thanks for the login! I was able to move items around your header and footer without issue. What browser are you working in? Have you cleared your cache? What happens when you try to move items around in customize > header or footer?Kindly,
HannahIn forum: Kadence ThemeJanuary 6, 2022 at 6:33 pm #269799I was doing some tweaks on my website and when I was working with the “trigger” in the mobile tab of headings, I noticed that the dropdown does not work. I tested this on my mobile phone (after clearing the site cache) and once I click the icon, nothing happens. In other versions, when I click the hamburger icon, I just get a black screen that is clearly missing the menu links. I double checked to make sure my menu locations/ designations were correct and even made a new menu just in case the old one was buggy. That did not work either. See images below for what I am referring to. Any and all suggestions would be super helpful!

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Image Focal Point
January 6, 2022 at 4:25 pm #269796Hi Ben,
When I installed WP Smart Crop I could see how to use it to edit the focal point, but the effect didn’t take. After setting my focal point, I tried clearing my cache and everything but still my banner image at the top of my page would not center on the designated spot. It was showing the dirt on the ground instead of the building that is supposed to be the focal point.

In forum: Kadence ThemeTopic: Can’t edit header and footer
January 1, 2022 at 4:08 pm #269744I’m in Appearance->Customize
I can’t edit my header or footer. I can’t move the blocks around or add new ones.
Pretty sure I’m current on all my updates. I’ve cleared my cache. I’ve tried deactivating some plugins.
Anyone know what to do?
In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Kadence Slider Video “reloads” on safari
December 27, 2021 at 1:11 pm #269641Hi Ben,
many thanks for your quick reply and your explanation.
Generally speaking, we are for sure looking for a good to great user experience. But, in a lot of our most recent projects the somewhat related SEO topic isn’t of any importance as we do not realize projects which should be found via a search engine. But, as I have mentioned, this is only somewhat related to the user experience and loading time.
So, thanks for your loading time test and the linked report. Out of curiosity we did run the test with a site, which still has a kadence slider background video and the declared loading time was about seven seconds, so indeed about five seconds faster. But to be quite honest, if we did experience loading times this slow (even with the seven seconds) I do think background videos or so media-heavy page designs wouldn’t be an option in the first place. So, if we or our customers do open our pages on our desktop machines, with tablets or on mobile phones the time until the page is ready and / or the video is starting to play is always between one and maybe two seconds. This is also the case, if we do a hard refresh, where as far as we know no media is cached. This makes these designs and in this circumstance even the slower use of revolution slider a true option. I do hope, that we don’t miss something and there aren’t any circumstances where the loading time the test states is the true time the browser needs until the page is “ready”.
So, to cut things short or in summary, our user experience and as far as we know the experience of our customers is very acceptable across the various devices and way below 12 seconds.Still, many thanks for your hint and the info, that revolution slider is a slower tool than kadence slider, which is indeed useful.
[Edit] And one more relevant info: My brother did also a page test via pingdom with the location set to europe. There the stated page load time was about three seconds, which is more in the range of what we experience. [/Edit]
Kind regards
Robin-

In forum: Kadence ThemeDecember 20, 2021 at 1:14 pm #269522Hi Hannah,
Thanks for responding! You’re seeing the titles because I added them in there manually via Elementor; but it’s not an ideal solution, because there are still slight differences between the pages that are displaying properly and those I have to “tweak” with Elementor. I have cleared my cache as well as regenerated files & data. I’m working in Chrome.
I actually submitted a ticket, and support got back to me recommending I reach out to Elementor. I’ve done so, and am still waiting for a response from them. If I get one and this gets figured out, I’ll be sure to reply here so others can see what the issue/solution was!
Thanks again,
KellyIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Trying to customize footer top border as image
Hi Hannah,
I updated to 95.0 and cleared the browser cache – still displays that space on the left and right sides. It displays fine on my MacBook and Windows laptop in every browser, but I use a second monitor with my MB (23.5 inch, 2560 x 1440) and that’s where I’m seeing the spaces. When I resize the Firefox window, the image displays full width without the spaces at various points but maybe those are the default breakpoints? (I haven’t changed them from the default ones in Kadence Theme.)
Does this help any? And if this only happens on this monitor in Firefox then maybe I just live with it?
Thanks!
In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: style accordion header and toggle
Hi, Carrie!
Just to confirm, have you tried this step already:
If you want to change the color for it, you can add this in Theme Options > Advanced Settings > Custom CSS:.panel-heading .accordion-toggle h5 { color: black; }If you haven’t yet, please try and make sure to purge any cache you have enabled to see the changes on the pages properly.

In forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Some sort of titles bug
December 8, 2021 at 8:16 am #269305Hi there,
Thank you for writing.
This does not happen on my test site – https://share.getcloudapp.com/Qwu2gKJG.
What browser are you using? Can you try if the issue persists on a different browser?
If it’s the same on a different browser, try to uninstall and reinstall the Kadence blocks plugin, and purge the site cache if you are using any caching plugin.
Let us know how it goes.
All the best,
ChitoIn forum: Kadence ThemeIn reply to: Alert bar/banner using hooked elements
Hello Sara,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you!
Upon checking your website, you have a blank Paragraph block within your Hooked Element(after the Row Layout block) – https://share.getcloudapp.com/ApuEp1lK.
Since paragraph blocks have bottom margins by default, it adds the extra space below the row block. Delete that paragraph block and after saving the change for the hooked element, purge your website cache.
Hope this helps and let us know if we can assist you further.

In forum: Virtue ThemeIn reply to: Mobile slider
December 3, 2021 at 5:26 pm #269225Hi, The mobile slider would only work if you are not caching the page HTML. Basically to use the mobile slider feature you need to allow the site to check if it’s a mobile browser and if it is to send a mobile slider. You are using a caching plugin (which is good) and that will override anything you set because it will always return the cached results and not results based on the users browser.
I suggest either remaking your making slider to support mobile better, or you can load both and then hide one or the other based on screen size and a media query.
To do that you would turn off the mobile slider,
select the desktop to be a shortcode slider.
Add both your slider shortcodes wrapped in divs:
<div class="desktop-slider">[kadence_slider_pro id="1"]</div><div class="mobile-slider">[kadence_slider_pro id="5"]</div>Then you would add this css:
.desktop-slider { display:none; } @media (min-width: 768px) { .desktop-slider { display:block; } .mobile-slider { display:none; } }Ben
In forum: Virtue ThemeHello!
I’m using Virtue Premium. Made new web shop and adding basic functions. I tried everything what I could imagine, but under cart and checkout pages there don’t show up shipping options choice. I even checked all configuration points one by one with my another home page where everything works fine. All looks identical, but in new one it don’t work with latest WP version and with identical delivery plugin.
Tried on several browsers and cleared also cache. What I could check to understand where is problem? In forum: Membership ForumsIn reply to: Email Optin Form
