    In reply to: Blue Boxes in Header

    #287245

    Thank you very much for responding so timely! 🙂

    I have tried those options many times to no avail, and all of my AI research and googling has turned up nothing.

    Let me give you some more input:

    1. I cannot see the blue boxes when editing the site (see attached file).

    Screenshot-8

    2. This problem is consistent across all of my 18 sites.
    3. I have tested almost all of my settings, including removing all plug-ings, updating Kadence, deleting it, and reinstalling.
    4. Of course, when I change to a different theme, they disappear, but they come right back after I switch back.
    5. I’ve changed the colors of everything possible. The only time I can hide them is with the same-colored background – LOL.

    My sites are very basic from a plug-in standpoint. I do have Litespeed Cache and Autoptimize installed, but I removed Autoptimize from all of my sites several months ago and recently added it back in to improve speed. The boxes were there in both examples. I did the exact same thing with Imagify. I deleted it as well and just used Litespeed Cache – nothing else. It did a poor job optimizing my images so I added it back a few weeks ago.

    My plug-ins (in addition to the ones listed above) are: AISEO Pro, Elementor Pro

    Any support is appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Jim,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I can view the blue boxes on both websites on my browser (not on incognito or guest browser). Here is a screencast for your reference:

    To troubleshoot, kindly clear LiteSpeed Cache on your website and also your Edge browser cache.

    Please let us know how this goes and if we can help you further.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the reply Bonn!

    I have cleared my caches using W3 Total Cache and in my browser, have done so with multiple browsers and no luck. I have disabled all plugins (except Kadence Gutenberg Blocks). Screenshots of those things attached. Any idea of what else it could be?

    I’ve been working on this site for awhile and it’s been through many revisions, is there something lingering in the HTML of the header/footer that I’m not aware of? The homepage is available at https://www.mzdata.co/ to look at.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the video.

    It looks like a caching issue.

    Can you try clearing your cache or deactivate your caching plugin?

    See if that makes a difference.

    #287173

    I’ve changed my header settings and getting some strange behavior.

    I’ve changed the theme header to customize it. I’ve done it from Appearance > Settings > Header as well as accessing those menus from the “Customize” links at the top of a page when I’m previewing it.

    I can see the changes when I’m in the header editor and it looks perfect, but when I go back to page edit and then preview the pages (they are all drafts at this point and not published) the header doesn’t display the edits I’ve made.

    Any idea what is causing this? I have cleared the site cache several times and tried deactivating all plugins, same behavior.

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

    I also can’t replicate the issue at my end. Check the screen recording for reference: https://share.zight.com/lluO4Amy

    I have noticed you are using a cache plugin. Clear the website and browser cache from your end and check in the incognito window.

    If the issue persists,can you send a support ticket to look closer at this issue?

    I hope this helps. If you have further questions, please let us know; we’ll be happy to help.

    Hi there,

    Apologies for the delay in responding to you.

    I checked your website but I didn’t see any glaring errors. But I did see a lot of Cross Origin type errors: https://imghostr.com/bdba02_cji

    I saw that you are using WP Rocket and Cloudflare. I recommend you reach out to Cloudflare support as a CDN optimization setting could be causing the Cross Origin issues.

    From what I know, a CORS issue can be resolved with changing a setting on your server .conf file. It would be different depending on the server you are using but it would be something like setting this header to “Access-Control-Allow-Origin”.

    You hosting provider would be able to assist you with that.

    There was a similar report before but for a different CDN service called RabbitLoader and that was the cause of the issue. This might be a documented issue for Cloudflare as well: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cache/cache-security/cors/

    Let us know if we can assist you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Michael Taro

    Hi Eze,
    Thanks. I see the classic starter templates, but the AI generator isn’t working. I keep getting the message that “Missing AI Content, Generate AI in wizard to include AI in your starter template”. I keep going back in to resubmit but it doesn’t work. I installed a different theme, cleared cache, deactivated my other plugins. Then I’ve re-activated the Kadence theme, and re-installed the Kadence AI starter template and Kadence Blocks plugins. The AI starter template remembers the data I inputted previously. I keep going though and getting the same message. The AI starter templates does generated suggested keywords and pictures. However, after clicking to use 70 credits I get the above error message. Could you please advise? Thanks.

    When I go to the Widgets section, every single widget shows the message “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed.” I’ve cleared the cache at the site level and at the server level. I’ve logged out and logged back in. Nothing seems to work. Please help!

    Thanks!

    Wes

    Thanks Karla,

    Yes, sorry, it was the cache. However, now I see that when the width is from 594-636 px wide

    Screenshot-2024-01-03-at-08-22-50

    Then the Add to cart is overlapping the price. I dont know if that is something to care about/what screen sizes it affect – and where to change this. What do you think?

    Hi, Chrilles!

    Thanks for giving us the URL.

    I checked it and on mobile views, the buttons are shown right away – https://share.zight.com/04uRo5Wp.

    Could you clear your browser cache and check again? Here’s a guide to clearing the browser cache – https://its.uiowa.edu/support/article/719

    Hi Elisabeth,

    Thanks for the links.

    I can confirm the issue. However, I couldn’t see what’s causing the issue.

    Can you please do the troubleshooting steps outlined in this article to rule out the usual causes of WordPress issues, especially clearing the website cache:

    Let me know how it goes.

    Hi Tim,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    I was able to change the same page title background image from the theme Customizer > Posts/Pages Layout > Page Layout > DESIGN tab > Page Title Background. Here is a screencast for your reference:
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/7Kun4w94

    Try clearing your website and browser cache and again select a page title background image:

    If you have WooCommerce installed, to troubleshoot this, try selecting a title background image from the theme Customizer > WooCommerce > Product Catalog > DESIGN tab > Archive Title Background. Here is a screencast for your reference:
    https://share.getcloudapp.com/p9uBR4D2

    I hope this helps. Please let us know how we can help further.

    Hey Sara,

    Thanks for writing in.

    1. You can use CSS media query or JavaScript to detect the screen orientation. Example CSS media query:

    @media (orientation: landscape) {
      selector {
        your code
      }
    }

    @media (orientation: portrait) {
      selector {
        your code
      }
    }

    Article that may help:
    * https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/Device_orientation_events/Detecting_device_orientation
    * https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/@media/orientation

    If the issue persists, perhaps the browser on their monitor does not detect the correct orientation. Please have them check the settings whether the monitor is set to portrait or not.

    2. I inspected the images but there seems to be a syntax error, thus they don’t show up. Here’s a video for reference: https://share.zight.com/wbu5R5nX

    The HTML code from your website is this:
    <div class="kt-testimonial-image lazy" style="" data-bg="url(https://nrgrochester.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/kurt-engebrecht-headshot-150x150.jpg)"></div>

    While I have this on my test site:
    <div class="kt-testimonial-image" style="background-image: url(https://chito.wppluginsupport.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/eugenivy_now-FyzE6PGVZ6o-unsplash-150x150.jpg);"></div>

    See the difference between the codes. The background image should be inside the style=””.

    It appears to me that the optimization plugin on your website is causing the issue. Can you please clear the website cache and, if the issue persists, deactivate the caching/optimization plugin temporarily?

    Let me know how it goes.

    Best,
    Chito

    Hi Konrad,

    Thanks for the link to your website.

    The issue seems to be coming from the header, but I couldn’t see which style is causing it.

    Can you please clear the website cache and try to deactivate the plugins temporarily? See if it makes a difference.

    If it does not, please try to reduce the Content Max Width (e.g., 1200px) in Customizer > General > Layout as it looks like you are already using Full Width page/post layout.

    Please let me know how it goes.

    Best,
    Chito

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the video. I’m here to help.

    I tried replicating it on my test site, but was unable to — here’s a video: https://share.zight.com/GGuyeO8v

    Have you tried clearing the browser cache, checking it in a different browser, and checking it on your mobile device?

    Do you have a link to the page where I can inspect it?

    Hi Gabi,

    Thanks for the link to the page and screenshots.

    It appears the HTML codes are broken — here’s also an example: https://share.zight.com/Z4up9LA6

    The article tags must be wrapped inside the post grid div tags.

    I checked this on my test site using the updated versions of the Kadence Blocks and Kadence Blocks Pro, but didn’t have the same issue — here’s a video: https://share.zight.com/yAune2Q6

    They are not updated on your website. Can you please update them? If the issue persists, please clear all types of caches (website, server, CDN, etc.).

    If it still does not make a difference, can you please try to deactivate all the plugins temporarily, except for the Kadence Blocks and Kadence Blocks Pro?

    You can troubleshoot your website without breaking it on the frontend using the Health Check plugin:

    I created a 404 custom page following the instructions here:
    and it works well everywhere in my site, except on pages generated by another plugin (when the 404 is for a path for those other pages it shows a regular not found page without the kandence 404 custom element)
    The 404 is called in that plugin template like this:
    global $wp_query;
    $wp_query->set_404();
    status_header(404);
    nocache_headers();
    get_query_template(‘404’);
    exit();
    Any advise on how to update that code to show 404 generated by that plugin to show the Kandence 404 element as on the rest of the site?
    Thanks,

    Hi there,

    On my homepage, I have two rows set to the “Parallax” option for scrolling, I think they look cool. It’s the USA National Parks row and the Digital Nomad row. The parallax works great on both desktop and mobile.

    On mobile, the title image at the very top is custom. On desktop I have a carousel of 3 images that alternate, but on mobile it’s just one static image with a color overlay.

    I would like to have that top title image do a parallax or fixed scroll on mobile only. In the editor, I went to my mobile view, then to Style > Background Image > Background Image Attachment. I selected Parallax and saved changes, cleared all caches on WordPress and browser, but it didn’t work. So then I tried a few combinations of things, like Parallax Scroll with a Cover or Auto image size, Fixed Scroll with a Cover or Auto image size, etc etc. All it does is remove the background image completely and only maintain the overlay gradient colors (unless maybe it’s zooming in on the photo so close that you can’t tell what it is anymore, making it look like the photo has disappeared). Every time it didn’t work I tried clearing my caches again so that must not be the problem.

    I’m clearly missing something, any ideas?

    Thanks!
    Claire
